I am happy to announce that I have joined the ranks of superstars Jeff De Cagna and Maddie Grant and have been listed on Alltop’s Nonprofit page.
For the uninitiated, Alltop is a web site project of Guy Kawasaki. It is essentially an aggregator of blogs on various topics. From their site:
We help you explore your passions by collecting stories from “all the top” sites on the web. We’ve grouped these collections — “aggregations” — into individual Alltop sites based on topics such as environment, photography, science, Muslim, celebrity gossip, military, fashion, gaming and playing bingo for cash, sports, politics, automobiles, and Macintosh. At each Alltop site, we display the headlines of the latest stories from dozens of sites and blogs.
You can think of an Alltop site as a “digital magazine rack” of the Internet. To be clear, Alltop sites are starting points—they are not destinations per se. The bottom line is that we are trying to enhance your online reading by both displaying stories from the sites that you’re already visiting and helping you discover sites that you didn’t know existed. In other words, our goal is the “cessation of Internet stagnation” by providing “aggregation without aggravation.”
How cool is that? So I suggested that this blog be listed in the “Nonprofit” category and they graciously agreed. In addition to Jeff and Maddie, there are tons of good blogs there, so check it out (note to rest of “a-list” association bloggers: just email your request to Alltop to get in).
Thanks Alltop.
They like me, too! I’m in the marketing section. Still working on getting into the nonprofit section.
I think it’s important for us association bloggers to get out there. So take Jamie’s advice, y’all.
You guys ROCK! I was looking you up and noticed PITV is in, too! We will change the world, one blog at a time…: )
