I will be in San Francisco all of next week, which will include two different speaking events.
The first will be on Tuesday, April 16th, and it’s a public event being put on by the Bay Area Organization Development Network. I’ll be talking about what social business means for leadership, and I may even be generous enough to give away a copy of Humanize (must be present to win!). The event will be at the PG&E building in downtown San Francisco, starting at 6pm. It should be a fairly small crowd so there will be good opportunity for an interesting conversation about the emerging issues and challenges of becoming a social business. This event is open to the public. Register here.
The second event is the annual conference of the California Society of Association Executives. Maddie and I are doing an “early riser” session that is immediately BEFORE the opening keynote. We’ve got two hours for this session, so it’s not just going to be the standard 75 minute presentation with slides. We’ll actually have everyone in the room complete a version of our Social Business Readiness Assessment and then spend time actually identifying processes or behaviors to change within their organization that will make a difference. This event will be at the Marriott Marquis in San Francisco, and obviously you have to register for the conference to get into this one.
