I just stumbled on Diego Rodriguez’s blog (hat tip to Bob Sutton) called metacool. Diego is a partner at IDEO and his blog is a must read for incorporating design thinking into what you do (according to Fast Company, anyway, and I’m seeing their point).
And even if you don’t subscribe to the blog (although you should), visit the site and look at the right column until you find his “Innovation Principles.” There are 20 of them, and they are awesome. His most recent post highlights a few of them in practice (as practiced by both Bach and Ice Cube).
