In case you haven’t already heard, a number of people in the “blogoclump” (association-related bloggers) are creating an “unconference” on social media in associations. The unconference will be:

  • Free of charge!
  • Held on Tuesday, June 5th, from 9 to 4:30
  • Located at ASAE & The Center’s great space in the Reagan Building in Washington, DC
  • A great place to learn a lot about blogs, podcasts, wikis, social networks and how all that is working in the association world.

I love that this event is simply a good idea that a bunch of people are making happen on their/our own. No sponsors. No committee approvals. Just action. I also love that ASAE & The Center are supporting us in making it happen by giving us the space to use.

To learn more, visit the unconference wiki that Jeff De Cagna has set up. A wiki, by the way, is just a web site that ANYONE can edit. To register for the conference, for instance, you go to the “register” page and you literally click “edit page” in order to add your name and information.
